Operations Window
The Operations Window shows the list of operations in your project. From the Operations Window, you can assign different operations to specific shapes, control the order the machine processes the operations, adjust an abbreviated set of settings for each operation, and more.
To adjust all settings of a given operation, double-click any operation in the Operations Window to open the Operation Settings Editor, which contains all available settings.
Accessing the Operations Window¶
The Operations Window is located in the upper right of MillMage by default. If you have closed the Operations Window, go to Window → Operations to re-enable it. To restore it and all other windows to their default positions, go to Window → Reset to Default Layout.
Tip
The layout of MillMage is highly customizable. For more information on enabling and disabling windows and toolbars, or rearranging the default layout, see Customizing the MillMage Window.
Operations Window Options and Settings¶
New Operation¶
Click New Operation to select from a list of operation types. After selecting a type, the Operation Settings Editor will open, where you can select a tool and apply a number of operation-specific settings.
Note
Any shapes currently in your selection when you click New Operation will automatically be Assigned to that operation.
Edit Tools¶
Click Edit Tools to open the Manage Tool Library window, where you can create and organize a library of tools for your machine.
Select Shapes¶

The outlines of shapes that are assigned to the selected operation are bolded in your Workspace. When they are also selected, they are both bolded and shown with an animated dash pattern.

Assign Shapes¶
Assigns shapes currently selected in your Workspace to the operation currently selected in the Operations Window.
Click any operation in the list to select it. See Selection Tools for information on selecting shapes in your Workspace.
Note
Any shapes that were previously assigned to an operation will be unassigned, if they are not in your selection when you press Assign Shapes.
Add Tabs¶
Opens the Tab Wizard, where you can specify parameters to automatically Add Tabs to currently selected shapes.
Note
After Adding Tabs to a shape, you must also assign that shape to a type of operation that supports tabs, enable Tabs / Bridges in the Operation Settings Editor, and establish additional settings that control the size and style of the tabs.
