Layers Shift When Cutting Multiple Objects
Description¶
Cuts and engravings aren't lining up as expected when cutting multiple objects, but are correctly (or almost correctly) aligned for a single object.
Solution¶
This can happen when the laser's travel distance while jumping between shapes doesn't quite match the distance it should be traveling. The layer shift may not be visible on a single object if the difference in distances is small, but as the number of jumps between shapes increases, small shifts add up to become very visible toward the end of a job. See the image above for an example.
If the Preview window shows the layers aligned correctly, this is most likely a mechanical issue. See Troubleshooting: Mechanical Issues for more help.
