Resetting to Default Settings
Follow these steps to completely reset MillMage's settings. Be aware that you will also lose any device profiles you've created.
Warning
While this process can be helpful in cases where you have a great many incorrect settings and want to start over, we recommend trying Load Prefs Backup or Reset to Default Layout before a full reset.
We also recommend making a User Bundle that can be reimported into MillMage if needed.
- Open MillMage.
- Go to File → Preferences → Open Prefs Folder. You should see a pair of files called
prefs.iniandprefs.oldalong with a folder calledbackup, along with a few other files and folders. - Close MillMage. If you leave MillMage open, the settings you're trying to delete will be restored when you eventually do close the program.
- Delete all the files and folders in the prefs folder. If you leave the
backupfolder, MillMage will automatically restore the settings you're trying to erase from the backups. - Re-open MillMage. All settings should be reset to default, and all devices will be removed.
That’s it. When you re-run you’ll be asked to set up your CNC machine again, and everything will be as new.
