Adhere With Masking Tape and Cyanoacrylate Glue

Apply masking tape to both the workpiece and CNC work area or wasteboard and, once covered, glued to each other with cyanoacrylate (CA) glue on one side and CA glue activator on the other.

Masking tape directly applied to both workpiece and CNC machine working area, with CA glue activator on one taped surface and CA glue on the other

Pros

  • Suitable for securing irregularly shaped or delicate materials
  • Allows for easy removal and minimal cleanup
  • Holding strength increases with larger surface contact areas
  • Fast cycle time with application of CA glue activator
  • Minimally impacts Z Axis working area

Cons

  • Not suitable for heavy-duty machining or high-precision work
  • Not adjustment friendly
  • Improper installation can impact tramming
  • Holding strength is reduced as surface contact area decreases
  • Single use only
